Configuring Time Clock Kiosk
1. Enable Automatic Log-in
>run > "netplwiz"
>Uncheck "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer."
>The "Automatically sign in" dialogue will appear. Choose the desired account.
2. Enable Desktop Log-in:
>Right click on the task-bar
>Click "Properties"
>Click on the "Navigation" tab
>Check "When I sign in or close all apps on a screen, go to the desktop instead of start"
>Ensure everything else is unchecked.
3. Disable Windows Key:
> Run an elevated command prompt window
> Execute the following command:
reg add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layout" /v "Scancode Map" /t REG_BINARY /f /d 00000000000000000400000000005be000005ce000005de000000000
4. Create I.E Start-up script:
>via Run, type "shell:startup" or open Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\Users\<useraccount>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
>paste the attached file in the folder that appears
